ROPP stands for Roll-On Pilfer-Proof, the industry-standard closure for spirits, wine, olive oil, pharmaceuticals and other premium liquids.
Unlike pre-threaded screw caps, a ROPP cap starts as a smooth, unthreaded aluminium shell. Once it’s placed on the bottle, the capping head presses it down while rollers spin around it. Thread-forming rollers press the aluminium into the bottle’s glass threads, forming a perfect custom-fit thread on every bottle. Pilfer rollers then tuck the bottom band of the cap under the neck ring.
The result is an airtight, leak-proof seal with built-in tamper evidence. When the bottle is opened, the pilfer band breaks away, so your customer knows the product hasn’t been opened before.
